About College

B. N. College of Education is situated in remote rural surroundings of Banka District boarding of Jharkhand. It is a Professional Institution which aims to impart B.Ed (2010-11) and D.El.Ed (2017-19). Teaching Program and caters to the need of boys and girls’ coming from backward, downtrodden and have not less. Our Objective is to focus Quality, Education on national Parameter synthesing traditional in the modern Education in Indian Culture and socioeconomic matrix.

B. N. College of Education, Dhoraiya, Banka is a co-educational institution imparting B.Ed & D.El.Ed courses. The College owes its inception in December 2007 (B.Ed.) 2016 (D.El.Ed.) with a view to provide professional and Job-oriented education to a large segment of younger generation coming for rural and remote areas with low and middle income background. It runs under the management of a society and caters to the need and aspiration of youth force from North-Eastern Bihar including adjoining Jharkhand.

LOCATION

The college is situated in the serene rural natural setting at Dhoraiya, a Block-cum-Anchal headquarter, well connected by road from Banka town 28 kms in the west, Bhagalpur City 40 kms away in the North, Kahalgoan 40 kms in the East and Godda 30 kms S-E. The entire area is habited by dalits, tribals, backwards and minorities.

FOUNDER

The credit of founding of SDMY institution goes to Late Basudeo Yadav (born on 22.02.1929 – to – 08.08.1990) a native of Dhoraiya who was a great visionary, social activist and political leader associated with communist ideology and socialist philosophy. Being an ardent freedom fighter, he nurtured a keen desire to set up educational institution at the higher level which could satisfy the needs of the masses and fulfill the dreams of teeming youths craving for higher professional and technical education in rural area. The society decided to establish Teacher’s Training College in his found love and memory. We always cherish the dedicated and untiring service of this benevolent soul and pledge to pursue his dreams and uphold the values we have learnt from him. The visionary is no more, but we foster his visions.
