Maintenance Policy
Availability of updated equipment and proper infrastructural facilities is essential for fostering an effective teaching-learning environment on campus. To ensure smooth functioning and sustainability of its physical and digital infrastructure, B.N. College of Education, Dhoraiya, Banka has adopted a comprehensive Maintenance Policy aimed at systematic upkeep, repair, and management of all institutional resources.

The Principal holds overall responsibility for all maintenance work within the campus. Any issue requiring repair or maintenance is formally reported by the concerned teacher or non-teaching staff to the Principal through written communication or email. Meetings related to repair and maintenance are convened by the Principal as required, and responsibilities are assigned accordingly.

A designated non-teaching staff member is entrusted with addressing specific repair or maintenance tasks. In cases requiring specialized services, the Principal authorizes the involvement of external agencies or service providers through an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).

The college’s IT infrastructure, including computers, Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras, biometric attendance system, LCD projectors, smart classrooms, sound systems, and the college website, is maintained either by in-house staff or through AMCs with authorized vendors.

The Librarian, assisted by library staff, oversees the maintenance of the library, ensuring regular cleaning, fumigation, and pest control in collaboration with external agencies.

The Sports Committee is responsible for maintaining all sports equipment and facilities. Electrical appliances such as generators, water purifiers, and pumps are maintained through external technicians or under AMC agreements. The college playground is maintained by external agencies as required.

An Annual Stock Verification is carried out by the Stock Verification Committee, which evaluates the condition of furniture, laboratory equipment, ICT tools, stationery, library materials, and sports items. Usable assets are repaired or replaced as necessary to ensure continued functionality and longevity.

Through this structured and proactive maintenance policy, B.N. College of Education ensures a clean, safe, and resourceful environment conducive to quality education and holistic development.
